Facemasks & Hairdye!

Hi everyone,
I've been really bad at keeping up with blogging recently but now I'm finally free and have lots of time to spend writing. I've had a very exciting week because my Year 11 Prom was on Thursday! I had a brilliant time and it was so lovely to see everyone dressed up and gorgeous after all our hard work.
We also had an induction morning into the Sixth Form at school and I realised how much I'm looking forward to studying my new subjects. Hopefully, over the summer I can do some different things with my blog as it reminded me of why I started it in the first place.

I also need to say a big thank you to Tanesha-Marie for featuring me as this weeks Tuesday Newbie, (which was actually on the Thursday!!) Go and have a read of her blog if you don't already follow her, it's amazing and her beauty advice has been very helpful! Thank you so much to Tanesha!

So, back to the Prom. I was busy in the weeks before getting my dress and shoes sorted and my lovely neighbour did my nails and gave me these incredible eyelash extensions which up close made me look a bit like a manga character and were very glamourous. However, I did originally want to be quite low-maintenance, because I didn't have a huge amount to spend but luckily everything worked out reasonably. My friends dyed my hair for me and its now this gorgeous dark red colour which I love. I also did lots of facemasks to get my skin glowing. What are your beauty routines for an event like a Prom? It was lots of fun and dancing but secretly the bits I loved the most were getting dressed up with my friends and then chilling in our pajamas with pizza and cupcakes afterwards and discussing everyone else's outfits. Personally, I definitely believe the getting ready is the best bit - what do you think?

My favourite piece of news is saved until last. This post is way too much stuff about me but I hope one more thing is okay. This was such a massive surprise and completely unexpected but somehow I got to be the Prom Queen! It was chosen by the Head's of Year and I had to go up on stage and everything. So naturally I couldn't find the stairs and tripped over. They gave me a really pretty silver bracelet and said some very sweet stuff about me! It was the cherry on the icing of a really fantastic night. They also took some cute pictures of me with the Prom King haha. Overall it was wondeful and an experience I will never forget.

Hope you all have a lovely rest of the weekend, and don't forget to visit Tanesha Marie.
Lots of love, Jessica x
